Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) passes resolutions condemning Centre, state

CHENNAI: Tamil actor Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) on Sunday passed 26 resolutions, mostly aimed at condemning the centre and state govts.While most of the resolutions targeted the BJP-led Union govt, a couple of resolutions were also passed against the DMK-led state govt.Resolutions such as condemning 'One Nation One Election', demanding the withdrawal of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), condemning the Union for the Waqf Board Amendment Bill, and the imposition of Hindi were targeted against the BJP govt in the Centre. Meanwhile, resolutions such as demanding a liquor ban, condemning the hike in property tax and electricity tariff, and condemning the DMK govt for not conducting a caste survey in the state and blaming the Centre for it were targeted at the DMK govt in the state.The resolutions were passed in its first executive council meeting in Panaiyur near Chennai, which was held after the first political conference in Vikravandi on Oct 27.
